- In a tribute to the King Of Pop, this year's final 12 acts on The X Factor have recorded a cover of Michael Jackson's classic number one hit 'You Are Not Alone' to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, one of the world's leading children's hospitals dedicated to helping sick children get better.

After the huge success of last year's charity single, which raised over £1 million for 'Help For Heroes', it's hoped that this single will be just as successful. Simon Cowell told ITV.com: "We decided we wanted to do something annually on the show to help good causes. This year we chose to work with Great Ormond Street to help raise funds and awareness for their incredible work. I'm very proud of the single and I really hope it raises an enormous amount of money for people who really need our help."

The X Factor has already been closely linked to Great Ormond Street Hopsital, whose key motto is: "The child, first and always." The decision to choose the charity follows an annual tradition of X Factor winners visiting the hospital. Some of the judges have also made surprise visits in the past.

The 12 finalists will be regrouped for a special performance of the single during ITV1's Results show, on Sunday 15th November. The single will then be immediately available for pre order. The single will be physically on sale from Monday 16th November, so expect to see the Michael Jackson song back at number one by the end of the week!

It has been promsied that no less than £1 from the sale of each single of 'You Are Not Alone' will be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. To find out more about the amazing work carried out by the charity, visit their website at: www.gosh.org/x-factor.
